Len Goodman<\/strong>, a professional ballroom dancer famous for his participation as a judge on the show Dancing with the Stars<\/a>, has died at the age of 78<\/strong>. This was confirmed by Jackie Gill, his agent, through a statement released earlier Monday:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It is with great sadness that I must announce that Len Goodman has passed away peacefully at the age of 78<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n\n\n

According to the statement, the dancer died last Saturday night in a hospice in Kent (Washington, United States). “He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather<\/strong>. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him,” the report adds, in addition to explaining that he died surrounded by loved ones and in peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the causes that led to his death have not been detailed, everything seems to indicate that they are natural and age-related reasons<\/strong>. Goodman retired from Dancing With the Stars in November 2022, so it has only been a few months since his retirement before he passed away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I’ve been on the show since it began in 2005 and it’s been such a pleasure to be a part of such a wonderful program<\/strong>, but I’ve decided I want to spend more time with my children and family,” the judge said alongside his retirement. “I can’t thank the Dancing with the Stars family enough. It has been a wonderful experience for me.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
