Google I\/O 2023<\/strong>, an annual event aimed at developers, will soon be held this Wednesday, May 10 at the iconic Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California.<\/p>\n\n\n

Since its inception, this conference has been highly anticipated by Google<\/a> and tech followers in general, eager to learn about the latest news from the Android<\/a> world and much more. Now, a new report from CNBC<\/a> may have revealed some of the main announcements of the event. To the surprise of few, these would be centered on artificial intelligence<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the big headliners will be the launch of PaLM 2<\/strong>, the new version of Google’s language model (LLM). CNBC itself describes it as an LLM intended for “general use”<\/strong> (like ChatGPT<\/a>). Moreover, it would be the “most advanced and recent” model that the company has released to date. It is worth noting that the first version of PaLM was announced in April 2022, months before the boom caused by ChatGPT and so on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNBC also claims that Google will announce a new “generative experience” centered around search<\/strong>. We will also see Bard<\/a>, its chatbot, again, which will be introduced in a revamped form. Among other things, it will be expanded to Japanese and Korean languages. Unfortunately, the chatbot is only available in the United States and the United Kingdom for the time being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s not all. Google<\/a> will also unveil more AI-based tools centered around Workspace<\/strong>. This would include the generation of templates in Google Sheets and images in Google Slides<\/a> and Google Meet<\/a>. Last March the company already announced new AI features for Gmail<\/a> and Google Docs<\/a>, but they have not yet been released to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s not all going to be artificial intelligence: new Pixel on the way<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It’s no secret that we will also see the new Pixel Fold<\/a> and Pixel Tablet<\/strong> at Google I\/O 2023<\/strong>. During the event, they are expected to announce the release date. For the time being, the company has shared on its YouTube<\/a> channel, Made By Google<\/a>, a small preliminary glimpse of these devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
