The fashion world<\/a> is in mourning after the unexpected death of the Huelva designer Cristo B\u00e1\u00f1ez<\/strong>, with only 41 years. It was a family member who discovered the lifeless body of B\u00e1\u00f1ez in his home in Seville<\/a>, after several days without news of him.<\/p>\n\n\n

B\u00e1\u00f1ez was a well-known figure in flamenco fashion. It was common to see him at events such as the popular SIMOF<\/strong>. He became especially recognized among the public when he was part of the jury of the program “Quiero Ser”, broadcast on Divinity and presented by Sara Carbonero. Within the space there were faces as well known as Madame de Rosa<\/strong> or his close friend Dulceida, for example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His talent as a couturier allowed him to establish close friendships with celebrities such as Eva Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong> or Vicky Martin Berrocal<\/strong>. In fact, we have seen them more than once wearing B\u00e1\u00f1ez’s creations on various occasions. He has also dressed important public figures such as the Duchess of Alba or Genoveva Casanova<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cristo B\u00e1\u00f1ez was born in Almonte<\/strong> on February 26, 1982. He showed a great interest in fashion (especially flamenco<\/strong>) since his early childhood. His environment was always involved in fabrics and patterns, something normal if we take into account that his mother Cristobalina<\/strong> was a dressmaker. The clear devotion he professed for the world of clothing led him to study design, where he already managed to point out ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Almonte City Council has deeply regretted the death of B\u00e1\u00f1ez. In a statement issued by the Consistory, highlights the work of the designer when claiming the municipality of Almonte: “has always carried the flag for the name of the town of Almonte, where he was also a town crier.<\/p>\n\n\n
