The internet was flooded with pre-orders. We all wanted to try ‘Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’<\/a>, and since then, the internet has been a collection of wild ideas, desperate deaths, and brutal killings of koroks who just want to see their friend. But the question remains in people’s minds: Has it been a blockbuster or are we just four fans who enjoy each return to Hyrule?<\/strong> Spoiler: It’s definitely not just four.<\/p>\n\n\n

Zelda: Tears of the Nintendo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Nintendo is crying tears of joy as they see the data from one of the most anticipated games of the year. For example, in the UK, it has become the second-best launch in their history<\/strong>, only behind ‘Wii Fit’ in 2008 (in terms of revenue, while in terms of units sold, it ranks fourth, also surpassed by two ‘Pok\u00e9mon’<\/a> installments). To give you an idea of the power of the Hyrule swordsman, it has sold twice as much as ‘Hogwarts Legacy’ in the same time period\u2026 although with a caveat, as it is known that the multiplatform game had a great digital reception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, in the UK, it has sold 2.7 times more than ‘Breath of the Wild’<\/strong>. Quite impressive. In France, it has surpassed half a million units sold, surpassing the release of ‘FIFA 23’, the most acquired game in 2022. In just three days at Fnac, over 120,000 purchases were made. These are staggering numbers that should make Nintendo<\/a> very happy, considering that the Switch is their second-best-selling console to date (second only to the unstoppable Nintendo DS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
