All indications are that Apple<\/a>‘s next revolutionary product will go from being in your pockets to your head. The heavily rumored mixed reality headset has been the subject of conversation for years, but we are still not quite sure when we will see it. For Apple<\/a>, however, it’s no small matter: famed analyst Ming Chi Kuo said back in 2021 that the company’s goal is to “replace the iPhone with augmented reality in 10 years.”<\/strong> Will it succeed?<\/p>\n\n\n

What do we know so far about the mixed reality helmet?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With Apple’s WWDC 2023<\/a> (the developer conference) just weeks away, we already know some of the things that will be presented. One of them is iOS 17, coupled with Apple’s mixed reality headset. Rumors aside, the company itself has already registered the name of an operating system that could be used in these helmets: xrOS<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
