Netflix continues with its strategy of converting everything it can to live action.<\/a> <\/strong>Just as Disney is doing with its classics,<\/a><\/strong> the streaming platform is taking several anime to live action, and although it has not worked very well so far, with One Piece they want to hit the nail on the head.<\/strong> But not only from Japan they want to take their ideas, they are also about to adapt an American series based on Chinese martial arts: Avatar: The Legend of Aang.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

The animated series was so successful between 2005 and 2008<\/strong>, both critically and with audiences, that M. Night Shyamalan himself tried to adapt it into a film in 2010 with Airbender, the last warrior.<\/a><\/strong> This was the worst reviewed film of Shyamalan’s career, so you can imagine how it turned out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, at Netflix they are not giving up and are fighting to make their adaptation better than that of the director of The Sixth Sense. <\/strong>They have demonstrated this through TUDUM, the event where they have also presented The Three Body Problem and the second season of The Squid Game.<\/strong> Here they have given us more clues about what we will see in the series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although we still don’t have a long trailer for the series, Netflix <\/a><\/strong>has already presented a small 53-second teaser<\/strong> where the main elements of the series are presented: water, earth, fire and air. It is clear that they want their series to respect the original canon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
