Before TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew<\/a><\/strong> dominated headlines due to the company’s conflict in the United States, V. Pappas was the visible face of TikTok both in the U.S. and throughout the Western world<\/strong>. The executive was responsible for making company announcements and discussing TikTok’s future strategy, always maintaining a good relationship with the press.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to The Verge<\/a><\/strong>, Pappas will be replaced by Adam Presser<\/strong>, who previously served as TikTok’s Head of Staff. Additionally, Zenia Mucha<\/strong>, who has two years of experience working for Disney, will be the next Chief Brand and Communications Officer for TikTok.<\/p>\n\n\n

Previously, Pappas worked at YouTube <\/strong>for 8 years, rose to become the General Manager of TikTok in 2018, and served as the interim CEO of the company from 2020 to 2021 before being appointed as COO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
