Just a few weeks ago the whole world learned that millionaires were paying for trips to<\/strong> see the Titanic<\/a><\/strong> in a submarine just like you pay for a trip to Palencia on the Alsa. And it found out in the worst possible way, by shutting down forever the company that set up these marine trips of dubious ethics, OceanGate. Now, for whatever reason, underwater tourism has lost its appeal. Surprise, surprise.<\/p>\n\n\n

This is the case of Nemo 2, a submarine that can go down to a depth of one hundred meters, has eight hours of autonomy and can travel at about 5.5 kilometers per hour. As you will understand, the construction company, U-Boat Worx, has not exactly seen its sales soar,<\/strong> aimed at both private companies that want to set up a tourism <\/a><\/strong>business of this type and millionaires who may want one because, in the end, everyone gets bored of the yacht and the private jet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We must say that the idea, if we had been told about it three months ago, would have seemed very cool: it has a 360-degree view, a look similar to the balls of ‘Jurassic world<\/a>‘ <\/strong>(if you do not think what happened to the balls in that movie, better) and capacity for two people. What better romantic trip than going to see sardines and coral? If the sea stands out for anything, it is for being peaceful and not treacherous at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The thing is that Nemo 2 cost a million euros and after the Titanic catastrophe they have reduced it to 590.000.<\/strong> Small change, of course, for its two and a half tons that make it a device that you cannot store anywhere either. It is expected that this year they will pass the security tests and begin to deliver to their buyers in a business <\/a><\/strong>that, of course, seems to have failed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For whatever reason, it seems that nobody wants to ride in a can 100 meters below sea level <\/strong>and pay half a million for it. What a thing.<\/p>\n\n\n
