Netflix started this year with controversy when they announced their new account sharing policy, which restricted sharing passwords among multiple households. Many users canceled their subscriptions in response, and a campaign against the company called #Adi\u00f3sNetflix<\/strong><\/strong> began<\/strong>. However, Netflix stood firm in expanding this policy to more countries, and time has proven them right with these positive numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although this policy led to Netflix reporting a profit of $2.793 billion<\/strong> during the first quarter, 8% less than the same period in 2022, the comeback has arrived in the second quarter, and this trend may continue in the future. For the third quarter, Netflix expects to reach revenue of $8.520 billion, a 7.5% improvement compared to the same period the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, there is another hurdle that could affect Netflix: the actors and writers’ strike<\/a><\/strong>. With Hollywood paralyzed, it’s highly possible that the platform may experience a decline in subscriptions due to the delay or cancellation of series and movies.
