Barbie<\/a> <\/strong>is not precisely an unknown brand, but its marketing strategy is certainly an example of how to do things right. Since its announcement, the movie has understood the idiosyncrasy of social media and how to become viral<\/a> among its target audience.<\/p>\n\n\n

As a result, the anticipation generated by the film has been evident at the box office: its competitor, Oppenheimer, has almost inevitably lost. Not content with that, Barbie has also become the best premiere in the history of the United States directed by a woman<\/strong> (in this case, Greta Gerwig).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If we translate this into figures, we see that Gerwig’s directed movie has managed to gross $337 million<\/strong> globally (approximately 303 million euros), out of which $155 million (around 140 million euros) came from the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oppenheimer hasn’t reached the extravagant numbers of Barbie, but it doesn’t have much to complain about either. At present, it’s already the third-best premiere for a Nolan-directed movie<\/strong> (with the top two being the Batman series, specifically The Dark Knight films). Regarding ticket sales, Oppenheimer has raked in $174 million worldwide<\/strong> (about 80.5 million in the United States).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
