SpaceX (@SpaceX) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SpaceX\/status\/1685043032616509440?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 28, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the starship exploded mid-flight during its inaugural flight due to an unexpected anomaly, <strong>SpaceX is eager to send its rocket soaring into the sky on its second test flight in the coming months<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But following the recent water deluge system test, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2023\/07\/28\/spacex-is-testing-a-flame-deflector-for-starship-without-permits.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">CNBC<\/a> <strong>reported that SpaceX has not yet obtained an environmental permit to discharge industrial process waters<\/strong> into the area surrounding the launch platform, according to the federal Clean Water Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, it is not entirely clear whether SpaceX actually needs the permit, as it would depend on the nature and quantity of contaminants mixed with the rocket water during liftoff, and where that water ends up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Starship Mission to Mars\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/921VbEMAwwY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; SpaceX is also awaiting approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which grounded the Starship after the April test while conducting an investigation into the failed test flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once fully tested, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/articles\/spacex-test-thrusts-starship-ship-we-will-travel-mars-moon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Starship could potentially transport crews and cargo to the Moon and even Mars<\/a>.
