The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is investigating reports that the 2023 Tesla Model 3 and Model Y<\/strong> <\/a>vehicles lose steering control while driving.<\/p>\n\n\n

Approximately 280,000 vehicles could be affected by the results of the investigation<\/strong>, the agency reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NHTSA says it has received 12 complaints alleging loss of steering and power steering control in the vehicles. Five individuals filed complaints alleging inability to steer the vehicle,<\/strong> while seven others said a loss of power caused steering difficulties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
