“Basic Instinct” is one of the sexiest and most surprising movies of the nineties<\/strong>. Starring Sharon Stone and Michael Douglas, it follows the journey of detective Nick Curran as he investigates the murder of Johnny Boz, a former rock singer who is brutally killed in his bed. Nick must keep an eye on Johnny’s girlfriend, Catherine, as she employs various tactics to dissuade him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The film was a major hit in its time, and now its story is set to expand in the form of a comic book. This has been announced by the American publisher Sumeria, which has acquired the rights to Paul Verhoeven’s film<\/strong> to create this comic book series, developed by Vanesa Del Rey and Sam Freeman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Basic Instinct story continues as a comic book<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The movie adaptation has been described as a “continuation of Catherine Tramell’s story,”<\/strong> and it will tell the tale of an anonymous artist who draws inspiration from infamous murders to commit their crimes. The most recent of these murders is based on Tramell’s Icepick Murders, leading them to enlist the help of the killer herself to follow the clues of this crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to Del Rey and Freeman, the comic features the involvement of colorist Keyla Valerio. Prominent figures from the comic industry are also contributing to the cover art<\/strong>, including Brao, Chuma Hill, Alberto Massaggia, Patricia Martin, Andrea Milana, and Lorenzo Colangeli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first issue of Basic Instinct will arrive in the United States on November 1st<\/strong>. We don’t know if it will be available in other countries, but everything seems to indicate that it will become a solid comic, and who knows, we might even see a series based on it in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
