It’s easy to appreciate the significance of a particular cultural work through its enduring presence over time. When it influences other works, inspires derivatives, and people continue to revisit it long after its natural lifespan<\/strong>, we’re dealing with something that, for one reason or another, resonates with individuals. It holds a certain artistic importance. And undoubtedly, Scott Pilgrim must possess some of that.<\/p>\n\n\n

After announcing it last March, we knew that Netflix was creating an anime adaptation of Scott Pilgrim. With the entire cast from Edgar Wright’s film reprising their roles as voice actors<\/strong>, we had barely seen anything of this promising new anime. Until now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Netflix has premiered the first trailer for the Scott Pilgrim anime, giving it a release date much closer than we might have expected: November 17th<\/strong>. Titled “Scott Pilgrim Takes Off,” with a script by Bryan Lee O\u2019Malley and Ben David Grabinski, the studio behind its development is the legendary Science Saru studio of Masaaki Yuasa, famous for works like “Ping Pong: The Animation” and “Devilman Crybaby.” The music will be handled by Anamanaguchi, and the series will be directed by Abel G\u00f3ngora, a Spanish director who previously worked on directing the episode “T0-B1” in the animated anthology “Star Wars: Visions.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
