It is common for manga to go on hiatus when they become very long. Mangakas hardly have any days off, let alone vacations, and when they are about to embark on a new stage, they need time to think and put everything in order. New designs, new narrative lines, and how to make everything fit require not only time but also the mental space to do it under the right conditions. That’s why, even though it might be annoying, hiatuses are a necessary part of the mangaka’s work.<\/p>\n\n\n

As die-hard fans might already know, Boruto has been on a four-month hiatus. That hiatus ends this very week, as the next manga chapter, Chapter 81, will be published on August 20th in issue number 10 of V-Jump. However, there might be some news that won’t thrill some of the fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First of all, its name is going to change. If until now it was called Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, its name will now become Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. This is because starting from Chapter 81, a new saga of the manga will begin after a significant time skip. This has led to a redesign of the characters, who are now more grown-up, and which has shown us a Boruto who, at best, doesn’t seem to have had an easy time during the period when we haven’t known anything about him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those in need of a memory refresher or who aren’t familiar with the events up to this point in Boruto, here’s a brief summary, but be warned, it’s full of spoilers. Kawaki, Naruto’s adopted son, rewrites Konoha’s history by pretending to be Naruto’s true heir, leading everyone to believe that Boruto killed Naruto using Eida’s powers. On another note, Sarada Uchiha, after unlocking the Mangekyo Sharingan, seeks her father’s help to rescue Boruto from the dire situation he’s in. Considering that this is where the series left off before the hiatus, it’s expected that this will be the first issue addressed in Chapter 81.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex can be read for free on the Shueisha app called Manga Plus<\/a>. As mentioned before, the chapter will be available on August 20th, Sunday, around 5 in the evening. So, we won’t have to wait much longer to see what unfolds with Boruto, Naruto’s legacy, and Kawaki’s sinister plot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
