Ahsoka has debuted in a big way<\/strong>. The new series from the Star Wars universe has just been released on Disney Plus<\/a>, and it has done so with two episodes that serve as a prologue for what’s to come. However, not all the cast has been able to celebrate the premiere as it deserves, since Ray Stevenson, the actor who portrays Sith Baylan Skoll in the series, passed away recently<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

Stevenson appears prominently in these first two episodes<\/strong>, as his character is the main villain that Ahsoka<\/a> and Sabine confront before the introduction of Grand Admiral Thrawn<\/a>. That’s why, at the end of the first episode, the producers of Ahsoka paid tribute to him with a closing caption: “For Our Friend, Ray.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ray Stevenson: a career full of success<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Beyond appearing in Ahsoka, Stevenson has had a long film career<\/strong>. He became very popular with the character of Titus Pullo in Rome, but he also appears in the Thor movies as Volstagg<\/strong>. Another of his iconic roles is Frank Castle (The Punisher) in Punisher: War Zone, and Porthos in the 2011 version of The Three Musketeers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stevenson has also appeared as Marcus in the Divergent series and portrayed Edward Teach (Blackbeard) in the acclaimed series Black Sails. He even had a role as Isaak Sirko in Dexter<\/strong>. In recent years, he had returned to the forefront of the industry thanks to his appearance in RRR, an Indian film by S. S. Rajamouli that achieved significant international success and was nominated for the Oscars. However, it is with Ahsoka that he takes his final bow; playing a great villain, he perfectly showcases his acting skills and charisma in front of the camera.<\/p>\n\n\n
