Just a few days ago, we gave you some great news: to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original Naruto anime, everyone’s beloved ninja was set to return with a four-episode mini-series<\/a><\/strong>. The poster itself drew attention with its animation change and updated aesthetics, and its arrival was imminent: from September 3rd to 24th.<\/p>\n\n\n

However, bad news has arisen for the fans: as announced by Studio Pierrot, the creators of the new Naruto series<\/a>, these episodes will experience a significant delay and will no longer premiere in September, but rather at a later date<\/strong>. We don’t have the new release date yet, but they essentially need more time to work on the animations and make it appealing to everyone, so we could be looking at a delay until early 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mini-series has been indefinitely delayed, but what happened?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This new anime won’t follow the Boruto<\/a> storyline, instead, it will focus once again on the childhood stage of Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura in Team 7 alongside their sensei Kakashi<\/strong>. In this way, we’ll get to see an animated remake of the most iconic moments of the series across these four half-hour episodes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the exact plot is unknown, we can infer that it will likely be streamed on Crunchyroll<\/strong>, the anime-specialized streaming platform that holds the rights to the original series internationally. Through this VOD service, we’ll receive more updates about its arrival in Spain and other countries outside Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
