\"\"<\/a>Today we got a sneak preview of Pro Evolution Soccer 2013<\/strong><\/a>, following the release of the official debut trailer of the new version of the world\u2019s second best soccer game.<\/p>\n

Granted, the sight of Cristiano Ronaldo running along to a flamenco soundtrack doesn\u2019t tell us much about how PES might be able to beat arch rival, FIFA Soccer<\/strong><\/a>. Despite the lack of clues in the video, though, there are some things we do<\/strong> know about Pro Evo 2013, based on what we\u2019ve seen on the official PES blog<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

PES FullControl<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The rather restrictive control system of PES 2012 has been given an overhaul for the new version. Pro Evolution 2013 will include a set of improved features to give you more control over the action. Developer Konami calls the new control system, \u2018PES FullControl\u2019.<\/p>\n

FullControl promises a new dynamic first touch<\/strong> feature, where a player can trap the ball using the R2 button in order to gain instant control of the ball.<\/p>\n

PES 2013 also offers manual passing<\/strong>, and manual shooting<\/strong> is introduced to the game for the first time, allowing you to modify the height and power of each. It will be interesting to see how precise you can be with the manual shooting, or whether the system is more like the shot modifier in FIFA 12, which, in my opinion, doesn\u2019t go far enough in terms of precision.<\/p>\n

According to the PES Community Team, FullControl also improves dribbling<\/strong>, slowing down player speeds and allowing players to add various styles to their close control using the R2 button.<\/p>\n

Other changes to the control system in PES 2013 include full manual one-two passes<\/strong>, response defending<\/strong> and more goalkeeper controls<\/strong> (a power gage for throws, for example).<\/p>\n

PES 2013 also focuses on improving player likenesses<\/strong> so that players in the game behave like their real life counterparts. According to the PES Community Team, famous players will run, turn, trap, move the ball and even celebrate like they do in real life.<\/p>\n

Individuality has been added to goalkeepers<\/strong> too, with new animations and playing styles added to the men between the posts. The style of saves and keeper reactions are designed to reflect the unique style of individual goalies.<\/p>\n

ProActive AI<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Another new system, another new codename. ProActive AI is designed to make the way games are played out much more realistic, eradicating any illogical movements and enhancing the speed and balance of matches.<\/p>\n

Attack and defense are supposedly more balanced<\/strong> in PES 2013, with improved organization as teams track back or drive forward. The aim of this is to make it harder to beat defensive lines (already pretty tough in
\nPES 2012, in my opinion), and allow for quicker counter attacks.<\/p>\n

Improved connectivity and atmosphere<\/strong><\/h3>\n

PES 2013 hopes to bring Pro Evo fans closer together with improved Facebook support<\/strong> within the popular myPES application. The game\u2019s audio effects<\/strong> are designed to be more realistic too, with crowd excitement building as teams start to apply more pressure.<\/p>\n
