It’s an open secret: the iPhone 15 will have a USB-C connector for charging and transmitting files. <\/strong>It’s not Apple’s doing, but that of the European Union, who are forcing all manufacturers to use this standard on any phone or laptop.<\/p>\n\n\n

Well, it seems that this feature of the new iPhone has been confirmed a few hours ago by a Chinese brand of accessories for smartphones (mainly dedicated to Apple phones).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anker unveiled a slew of Qi2 MagGo wireless charging stations and Power Banks at IFA 2023, along with new Nano chargers. And, without explicitly saying so, the brand seems pretty sure that USB-C iPhones are imminent.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A lot of chargers and not a single Lightning<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The absence of Lightning-based products in Anker’s new range is notable, but first let’s examine the new Qi2 MagGo offerings which take a step up from previous MagGo products, which were MagSafe compatible and limited to 7.5W charging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new MagSafe branded devices are now capable of 15W wireless charging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As The Verge<\/a><\/strong> has discovered, the new Qi2 MagGo hardware includes a 10,000 mAh portable battery with stand, battery level and charge time indicator (LCD)<\/strong>, and a USB-C port for charging devices at up to 27W power. This battery is complemented by another 6,600 mAh battery that folds out to become a phone stand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
