When Game Freak created ‘Pok\u00e9mon<\/a>‘ in the early 1990s, they couldn’t have imagined that almost forty years later, these little creatures would help with everything: from sleeping to brushing teeth or going for a walk<\/strong>. Furthermore, they probably didn’t foresee that the games would continue to be true social phenomena. If teaming up with virtual singers who don’t exist in the real world is what it takes to remain a part of cultural relevance, then so be it.<\/p>\n\n\n

Hatsune Miku<\/a> is the singer of millions of songs across all genres, with all kinds of lyrics and music. And it’s not that she’s just locked in a studio all day; she’s the digital voice of the Vocaloid program, and she has been performing concerts in front of thousands of people<\/strong> since 2009. She is possibly one of the most well-known idols of recent times, and as such, it was only logical for her to collaborate with Pok\u00e9mon. Why not?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An icon alongside another icon: The Pok\u00e9mon<\/a> Company has initiated Project Voltage, which envisions the singer as different types of trainers<\/strong>, always ready for battle. Drawn by six different artists and covering the 18 types of creatures, the entire collaboration will be unveiled on the internet day by day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this point, and considering that games like ‘Fortnite’ or ‘Call of Duty<\/a>‘ regularly feature special appearances, would it really surprise us if Hatsune Miku made a special cameo in the DLCs of ‘Pok\u00e9mon Scarlet’ and ‘Pok\u00e9mon Violet’? <\/strong>So far, this crossover has completely broken the internet, so at Nintendo, who has a keen eye for these things, they have probably taken notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, please, let someone be thinking about a musical game<\/strong> in the Pok\u00e9mon series, similar to ‘Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!’. I’ve never asked for anything, Nintendo.
