Years ago, the phrase “You don’t know who I am” made people break out in a cold sweat. Indeed, the word of a powerful person was often worth more than that of a simple security employee trying to sort out a mess. But since social networks<\/a><\/strong> exist, security cameras follow us everywher<\/strong>e and society’s attachment to politics has plummeted, that phrase is as scary as an episode of the Teletubbies.<\/p>\n\n\n

Tim Burton directed ‘Bitelchus’ in 1988 and little did he know that, after the success of the film, which even saw the birth of a highly entertaining animated series, it would still be in vogue 35 years later. The director has two days left to finish shooting the sequel<\/a><\/strong> and the musical is touring America with success. So much so that even during a performance in Denver, a politician named Lauren Boebert, a U.S. congressional representative<\/strong>, was expelled for inappropriate behavior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And by “inappropriate behavior” I don’t mean that he went barefoot or anything<\/strong> like that, but a succession of quite serious insults. First, he started loudly chanting the songs<\/a><\/strong>. And if that wasn’t enough, she started vaping like it wasn’t with her. Obviously, she was thrown out of the room while she shouted “You don’t know who I am!”. So much so that even the people in the back claimed that “we haven’t seen anyone perform like that before”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that night it has come to light that even more was going on: Boebert’s escort was groping her breasts, while she was grabbing his privates<\/strong>. And on her way out, she showed her middle finger to the bleachers. Come on, she’s a real charmer. The thing is that this has not happened in the middle of a difficult debate in Congress<\/a><\/strong>, but in the performance of a musical based on ‘Bitelchus’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the days have passed, the politician has, of course, apologized, saying that her divorce has been very hard. “These days have been difficult and humiliating, and I am truly sorry for the unwanted attention to my Sunday night,<\/strong>” she said to the stupefaction of those who did not expect to find musical and show, two in one.<\/p>\n\n\n
