This allows the devices to <strong>avoid charging beyond 80% when activated<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed-Youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"A Guided Tour of iPhone 15 &amp; iPhone 15 Pro | Apple\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/EcGXCJm3XMA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s important to mention that this new adjustment is <strong>entirely separate from the existing Optimized Battery Charging feature<\/strong> that previous iPhone versions offered. While Optimized Charging held the charge at 80% until the appropriate time based on the device&#8217;s daily charging routine, the new 80% limit ensures that the iPhone will never charge beyond that point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new setting, available in <em>Settings &gt; Battery &gt; Battery Health and Charging &gt; Optimized Charging<\/em>, allows us to choose between <em>Optimized Battery Charging, 80% Limit, or None<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The goal of this feature is clear: <strong>to extend the lifespan of the iPhone&#8217;s battery<\/strong>.
