With two distinct eras known as &#8220;the classic era&#8221; and &#8220;the modern era,&#8221; the series has become one of Britain&#8217;s most important brands, and despite not having had much success in its few broadcasts in Spain, it&#8217;s a global phenomenon to be reckoned with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now, <strong>the series is about to reach its 60th anniversary<\/strong>. Premiered on November 23, 1963, this story has seen the light of day for six decades. And how do they plan to celebrate it at the BBC? Easy: with a triple special episode that will delight fans of the Tardis and the Doctor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube is-tandpe-video wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"OFFICIAL TRAILER | Doctor Who 60th Anniversary Specials | Doctor Who\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tEkC6InjWQ8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The beloved series is coming back<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As we can see in the trailer they have just released, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/articles\/when-and-where-good-omens-season-2-premiers-good-omens\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">David Tennant<\/a> returns to play the Doctor<\/strong> in this special to reunite with Donna Noble (Catherine Tate), one of the most iconic companions of the modern era. This special will kick off the second part of Russell T. Davies&#8217; era on the series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Doctor and his companion will have to face one of their worst threats yet: the Toymaker. This villain comes directly from the third season of the original series and has a stellar cast to portray him, including <strong>Neil Patrick Harris<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, the episode will feature other familiar faces like Yasmin Finney, Jacqueline King, Karl Collins, Ruth Madeley, Jemma Redgrave, Aneurin Barnard, and <strong>Ncuti Gatwa, the 15th Doctor<\/strong>. It is scheduled to air in November in the United States, coinciding with the show&#8217;s 60th anniversary.
