If you can\u2019t bear to wave goodbye to your old Facebook page then don\u2019t panic: it is possible to remove the Facebook timeline<\/strong>. That\u2019s to say, you can trick your browser into showing the classic Facebook view, without the cover image and date-ordered activity history. This will apply to your profile and those of all of your friends.<\/p>\n

Using an extension called Timeline Remove<\/strong>,<\/a> it\u2019s possible to get rid of your Facebook timeline from Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Safari. Here\u2019s how it\u2019s done:<\/p>\n

1. Download and install Timeline Remove for Internet Explorer<\/strong><\/a>, Chrome<\/strong><\/a>, Firefox<\/strong><\/a>, or Safari<\/strong><\/a>. Sorry, Opera<\/strong><\/a> users, this post is no use to you.<\/p>\n

2. Once you\u2019ve downloaded the extension a blue button<\/strong> will appear in the top-right corner of your browser. This is where you enable or disable<\/strong> the Facebook timeline.<\/p>\n

3. If your timeline is enabled, just click on \u2018Status: Timeline Remove\u201d to turn it off automatically.<\/p>\n
