While they haven&#8217;t reached the pinnacle at the Oscars yet \u2013 the Academy seems to have an odd aversion to Scorsese for some reason \u2013 their impressive box office numbers and critical acclaim set them apart from most duos in the industry today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their collaboration has reached a point where, for their upcoming film, <strong>the highly anticipated &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/articles\/martin-scorsese-leonardo-dicaprio-the-wager\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Killers of the Flower Moon<\/a>,&#8221; <\/strong>DiCaprio himself had parts of the script changed to enhance both the story and his character&#8217;s journey. Surprisingly, the director welcomed the changes, and in the end, it turned out to be something fruitful for the movie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Killers of the Flower Moon | Official Trailer 2 (2023 Movie)\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7cx9nCHsemc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A new opportunity to reach the top at the Oscars<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is how Scorsese himself explained it in an interview for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/culture\/film\/2023\/10\/14\/martin-scorsese-one-has-to-take-chances-at-this-age-what-else-can-i-do\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">The Irish Times<\/a>: &#8220;After two years working on the script, Leo came to me and asked, <strong>&#8216;Where is the heart of this story?&#8217;<\/strong> I had had meetings and dinners with the Osage, and I thought, &#8216;Well, there&#8217;s the story.&#8217; We believed that the true story didn&#8217;t necessarily come from outside, from the office, but from within, from Oklahoma.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apparently, <strong>initially, the script focused on the FBI agents&#8217; perspective as they went there to investigate<\/strong>. However, Leo was clear that the perspective had to change to make a different movie, and undoubtedly, this motivated the final changes.
