While Microsoft’s website boldly declares that the “Current release” is the Windows 11 2023 Update or 23H2, MCT still insists on serving you the older 22H2 version. Bummer, right?

Fear not, for there is a silver lining. Gabe Frost, the Senior Director and Group Product Manager at Microsoft, reassured the masses that the cavalry is coming, and the Windows 11 23H2 version on MCT is slated to arrive on November 15, just a day after the Patch Tuesday update for the month.

What’s cooking behind the scenes?

Now, here’s the juicy bit. Windows 11 23H2, also known as build 22361.2506, isn’t just a regular update. It’s built upon the solid foundation of the Moment 4 update (build 22621.2506 / KB5031455). What makes this intriguing is that it is enabled through an “enablement package” (EKB5027397).

To make sure your tech life remains hassle-free, Microsoft has confirmed that this enablement package will automatically install. But there’s a twist – it won’t be offered to users on unsupported devices running Windows 11 22H2. However, for the daring souls who can’t wait to explore the latest features, there’s a workaround. You can manually download the EKB as a standalone package, upgrading your unsupported PC from Windows 11 22H2 to 23H2.

Copilot and beyond

Now that you’ve seamlessly transitioned to Windows 11 23H2, it’s time to explore the world of customization. You see, not everyone falls head over heels for every new feature Microsoft serves on the tech platter.

Take, for instance, the introduction of Copilot. While some may find it a welcome addition, others may not be particularly fond of it. But here’s the beauty of the digital world – you’re not confined to the default settings. You have options, and the power of customization lies at your fingertips. You can tailor your operating system to align perfectly with your unique preferences.

Anticipation builds

As we eagerly await the arrival of Windows 11 23H2 on the Media Creation Tool, the excitement in the tech world is palpable.
