In cases like these, it&#8217;s hard to say whether removing certain applications from an operating system is good or bad. The removal of both apps didn&#8217;t come as a surprise to almost anyone, so <strong>it was just a matter of time before this action was implemented<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Microsoft aims to make the installation of Windows 11 increasingly streamlined<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Certainly, <strong>this change will not affect those who have an earlier version of Windows 11<\/strong>, where the <strong>Maps and Movies &amp; TV apps are still present<\/strong>, and they want to update to build 25897. In other words, if this is your case, <strong>both apps will remain in the system<\/strong>. Moreover, both applications <strong>can still be found on the <a href=\"https:\/\/go.skimresources.com\/?id=2728X590260&amp;isjs=1&amp;jv=15.4.2-stackpath&amp;sref=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.neowin.net%2Fnews%2Fmicrosoft-removes-windows-maps-and-movies-and-tv-apps-from-clean-windows-11-installations%2F&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.microsoft.com%2Fen-us%2Fstore%2Fb%2Fhome&amp;xs=2&amp;xtz=-60&amp;xuuid=3f22d78a85fd9f167f42270758388b80&amp;xcreo=300001&amp;xword=microsoft%2520store&amp;sv=10.0.3-42b2da30&amp;xjsf=other_click__auxclick%20%5B2%5D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">Microsoft Store<\/a><\/strong>, so individuals can install them on their own if desired, after installing Windows 11 directly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the official changelog, it reads as follows: &#8220;Starting from this build, <strong>Windows Maps and Windows Movies &amp; TV apps will no longer be installed after clean installing the OS<\/strong>.
