China <\/strong>knows no bounds when it comes to technology and innovation<\/strong>. Now, the large Asian country wants to achieve something that, at first glance, seems more like it’s taken from a futuristic movie: manufacturing fully functional humanoid robots by 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n

According to a plan set by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China intends to make the manufacturing of humanoid robots a reality in just a couple of years. To achieve this, the government will focus on companies in the sector, nurture national talent, and seek international cooperation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Certainly, if there’s a country that can carry out such a plan, it’s China. It’s worth noting that China is the world’s leader in the manufacturing of electronic products. Furthermore, the Chinese government wants to promote the use of artificial intelligence in robotics and encourages ongoing research in the development of robotic limbs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indeed, as we can read in Bloomberg<\/a><\/strong>, China also wants future humanoid robots to be able to think for themselves <\/strong>and even learn on their own. As expected, these plans have not gone unnoticed in the stock market. The shares of companies like Ningbo Zhongda Leader Intelligent Transmission Co. or Miracle Automation Engineering Co. & Automation Co.<\/strong> have managed to rise to the daily limit of 10%.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, China is not the only country focused on robotics. Several American companies, such as Tesla <\/strong>and Boston Dynamics<\/strong>, are already leading the way in the robotic race. In the case of Elon Musk’s company, they have their humanoid robot Optimus<\/strong>. On the other hand, Boston Dynamics has Atlas<\/strong>, which can even do somersaults<\/strong>. With that in mind, will we really see these humanoid robots in action in a few years?<\/p>\n\n\n
