Just a couple of years ago, talking about Marvel Studios<\/a> meant talking about the company that succeeded at everything<\/strong>; the studio that finally knew how to make something big out of superheroes and had changed the film industry. However, since Phase 3 ended and they started releasing a lot of series and movies, things have changed\u2026 and where there used to be quality and good ideas, now there’s only laziness<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

The demonstration of this is the outcome of The Marvels<\/a><\/strong>. After several consecutive failures both at the box office and in Disney Plus series, the company has faced its biggest cinematic flop since its inauguration in 2008. The Marvels, sequel to Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel, has turned out to be a complete fiasco, barely managing to gross 47 million dollars<\/strong> in its opening weekend in the United States. The worst-performing movie financially in its history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A disastrous situation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The failure of The Marvels<\/a> stems from various reasons, one of them being the misogynistic hate towards the heroines from the House of Ideas<\/strong>. However, this failure has little to do with that; it seems to be more related to the film’s poor quality and audience fatigue with everything Marvel-related. While Avengers: Endgame brilliantly concluded an incredible universe, since then, so many characters, minor series, and movies have been introduced that many have lost track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result, with many of Marvel’s current products seeming derivative and the characters being followed now having little to nothing to do with the mastery of Captain America or Iron Man<\/a>, it appears that Marvel’s situation has reversed<\/strong>. In fact, there are rumors that they want to revive these characters to recapture the audience\u2026 it seems they’re desperate to regain their audience’s attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marvel’s prospects don’t look very promising, especially with Kang, a villain whose actor (Jonathan Majors) has been accused of misogynistic violence<\/strong> and who was supposed to be the ultimate bad guy in these new phases. At present, The Marvels is said to have had only its post-credits scene as the good aspect, but Marvel can’t rely on these scenes forever, and it seems they’ll have to do something soon to improve the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n
