It’s hard, we know, but if you’re into video games, chances are you were eagerly looking to acquire a PlayStation 4<\/strong>, as that was the day Sony’s new machine was released.<\/p>\n\n\n

Although it wasn’t marketed in Europe until November 29 <\/strong>of the same year (and in Japan, fans had to wait until the end of February 2014, an unusual delay as they were left as the last territory), from November 15, American gamers were already able to get their hands on the successor to the PlayStation 3. But what has this previous generation given us?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Firstly, it’s essential to clarify that despite 10 years having passed, the PlayStation 4 is still very much alive<\/strong>. In fact, it continues to boast a vast array of games released for the system, a strong indication not only of the prolonged generation but also that studios are still considering this hardware. Moreover, it’s not difficult to find it for purchase in major stores<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the PlayStation 4 continues to sell, what’s available in stores now is only the remaining stock from the last shipments. Sony discontinued the console a little over a year ago; in fact, it no longer provides figures for units sold, the ultimate proof that production has come to an end. Nonetheless, the PS4 has reached nearly 118 million units sold<\/strong>, a figure that positions it as the fifth best-selling console in history. Quite an achievement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
