The latest victim of these policies is “Shadow and Bone,”<\/strong> one of the most highly acclaimed fantasy series in recent years, with a large following. After the release of its second season last March, the future of the series was uncertain. However, it’s now confirmed: there won’t be a third season of “Shadow and Bone.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Goodbye to Shadow and Bone: Netflix’s Latest Cancellation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It seems that Netflix made the decision to cancel “Shadow and Bone” after the “poor” performance of its first season. It remained in the Top 10 for only five weeks<\/strong>, which seems quite low for a series with such a significant investment from the VOD service, and it also didn’t receive the same positive reviews as the first season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, due to the recent strike by actors and writers<\/a> that affected all of Hollywood, this situation seemed to linger indefinitely<\/strong>, and Netflix didn’t want to announce its cancellation until now. Unfortunately, it’s now official: there won’t be a third installment of “Shadow and Bone,” much to the disappointment of its fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nevertheless, both seasons of the series can still be enjoyed on Netflix. It’s undoubtedly one of the platform’s biggest bets on fantasy<\/strong>, and fans of Leigh Bardugo’s books seemed to love it while it lasted.<\/p>\n\n\n
