Android Authority<\/a><\/strong> has discovered that WhatsApp’s screen sharing feature will soon allow us to share phone audio<\/strong>. According to their article, the latest version of WhatsApp for Android (2.23.25.20<\/strong>) contains a code string that sheds some light on this upcoming and useful function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you share a screen with someone during a WhatsApp<\/a> call, both of you will be able to see and hear both the screen content and the phone’s audio. This way, you can watch videos or listen to music together<\/strong>, or even play while the other person views it live (similar to Discord<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n

Certainly, the ability to share phone audio during a WhatsApp<\/a> call can be incredibly useful, especially for presentations or teaching someone how to do something on their phone<\/strong>. However, this function comes with several restrictions when using video streaming apps<\/strong> like Disney+, Netflix, and Prime Video, which might disable screen sharing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This feature hasn’t appeared in the app’s beta version yet, so we might have to wait a considerable amount of time<\/strong> before WhatsApp finally implements audio functions while screen sharing. Once the testing phase is completed, the feature might gradually roll out to Android users, though it’s uncertain whether it will also come to iOS<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n
