A Star is Born was his obvious statement of intent; a film he starred in alongside a newly debuted actress <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/articles\/lady-gaga-shakira-and-harry-styles-sue-elon-musk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Lady Gaga<\/a><\/strong> that <strong>earned him recognition from the general public.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now, he returns with a second feature film that is no less important than the previous one, even though it is different. In Maestro, <strong>Cooper himself takes on the role of Leonard Bernstein<\/strong>, the famous 20th-century composer and pianist who became one of the most important musical figures of the time. The film tells the story of Bernstein&#8217;s relationship with Felicia Montealegre (Carey Mulligan) and aims to be his big entry into the Oscars. But how did it turn out?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Maestro | Official Teaser | Netflix\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zU6GbM5c9aE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What does the critics say about Maestro?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first reviews for Maestro have come out on Rotten Tomatoes, and the truth is that things have gone pretty well for good old Cooper. <strong>The film has achieved an 81% positive reviews<\/strong>, as well as an 89% audience approval. Then, as the older, more formal but still volatile man&#8221; &#8211; Jake Wilson, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theage.com.au\/culture\/movies\/even-with-the-fake-nose-this-is-bradley-cooper-s-virtuoso-performance-20231205-p5ep7t.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">The Age<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Perhaps it&#8217;s not the most comprehensive portrait of Bernstein.
