Google<\/strong> would be developing an improved version of its AI chatbot Bard<\/strong>, called “Bard Advanced”<\/strong>, which will be available through a paid subscription to Google One<\/strong>, as shared by developer Dylan Roussel<\/strong> on Twitter.<\/p>\n\n\n

Roussel states in his publication that Bard Advanced would work with Gemini Ultra<\/strong>, the top level of the recently announced large language model<\/strong> by Google<\/a>. This is an improvement over the current version of Bard, which uses Gemini Pro, the middle level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the screenshots shared by Roussel describes Bard Advanced as a “larger language model with advanced mathematical and reasoning abilities”. The developer Bedros Pamboukian<\/strong> also discovered<\/a> a code string that suggests Google is working on an “advanced” level<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

In addition, Roussel found more updates than the ones he shared screenshots of, including a feature codenamed “Motoko”<\/strong> that could allow users to create custom bots<\/strong>. However, there is no indication whether users will be able to share these bots or if they will have to pay to access this feature. Last year, OpenAI<\/strong> announced that it will allow GPT Plus subscribers to create and share custom bots<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Google could also introduce a new “powering up” feature<\/strong> that uses AI to enhance and improve the instructions you give to Bard. According to Roussel, there is also mention of a “Gallery” section<\/strong> that, as speculated, will allow you to “explore different topics to see what you can do with Bard”.<\/p>\n\n\n

Other small adjustments revealed by the screenshots include a new “tasks” tab<\/strong> that users could use to keep track of longer jobs they are working on Bard, such as image generation, and a way to add a custom background for Bard’s prompts shared by users<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
