In one of the most surprising statements of the year, and it’s January 12th, one of the major players in the video game industry has claimed that the problem in the sector is the excess of supply. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n

Benoit Clerc, publishing manager at Nacon, a video game publisher and peripheral manufacturer<\/strong>, has reflected in a new interview on the current state of the gaming industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In statements to GamesIndustry.Biz<\/a>, Clerc states that one of the problems faced by medium-sized publishers is that there are simply “too many games on the market” right now<\/strong>, which has left consumers with no time “to be able to play them”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Explain that<\/strong> “when you look at Steam some days, there are 50 or 60 games released in a single day, so it’s harder to get enough traction to expose a game”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
