Easy access to AI has gradually made us accustomed to incorporating it into our work routines, studies, and more. However, we all know that nothing comes for free and that the high capabilities of this technology come with a cost<\/strong>. Microsoft knows this and has just announced a new paid version of Copilot: Copilot Pro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

Last Monday, Yusuf Mehdi,<\/strong> executive vice president of Microsoft, published a note on the official company blog<\/a> announcing the launch of Copilot Pro<\/strong>, “a new subscription that offers the most advanced features and capabilities of Microsoft Copilot”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But what are the differences between Copilot Pro and Copilot?<\/strong> Those who decide to pay for Copilot Pro will have priority access to GPT-4<\/strong> and GPT-4 Turbo<\/strong> during peak hours, in addition to being able to create custom GPTs<\/strong>. Furthermore, Copilot Pro integrates with Microsoft 365 to enhance its applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and One Note).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Copilot Pro will give you access to DALL-E 3<\/strong>: you will be able to generate images “in horizontal format even faster” and you will also receive “100 prompts per day with Designer<\/strong> (Bing’s Image Generator)”. Prompts are the number of times you can generate images at a higher speed<\/strong>. In comparison, the free version of Copilot only offers 15 daily prompts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What about the price?<\/strong> Those subscribed to Microsoft 365 Personal or Family plan will be able to add Copilot Pro to their service in exchange for $20 per month.<\/strong> Currently, Microsoft 365 plans range from $6.99<\/strong> to $9.99 per month,<\/strong> a price that would significantly increase if we ultimately choose to use Copilot Pro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Microsoft itself is aware that these prices are not for everyone. According to Mehdi, Copilot Pro is mainly aimed at “advanced users, creators, and anyone looking to take their Copilot experience to the next level.”<\/p>\n\n\n
