The DSOC&#8217;s laser transceiver is coupled to the Psyche spacecraft, which was <strong>launched on October 13, 2023<\/strong> aboard the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/articles\/spacex-puts-into-orbit-53-satellites-starlink-falcon-9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">SpaceX&#8217;s <strong>Falcon Heavy<\/strong> rocket<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/technology\/space-comms\/deep-space-network\/nasas-new-experimental-antenna-tracks-deep-space-laser\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">Deep Space Station 13<\/a> is part of NASA&#8217;s <strong>Deep Space Network<\/strong> (DSN), a network of giant parabolic antennas that communicate with spacecraft through radio waves.
