The second part of Dune is already a critical success<\/strong>. Even though it hasn’t officially premiered yet, it has already become the highest-rated film on IMDb, surpassing The Shawshank Redemption. It has received a 97% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes and many say it is the equivalent of The Empire Strikes Back in the Star Wars franchise.<\/p>\n\n\n

With this second part, Denis Villeneuve has already completed the adaptation of Frank Herbert’s original book<\/strong>. However, he doesn’t want to stop there. The writer continued the story of Paul Atreides and his descendants with The Messiah of Dune, and it’s something that the director wants to adapt to complete a trilogy that, in his view, would end with a perfect ending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
