Business Insider Espa\u00f1a (@BIEspana) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BIEspana\/status\/1762726894208766115?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 28, 2024<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Meta wants to compete with Apple in its new field<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The report suggests that <strong>there is a lot of internal pressure in Meta to deliver a high-quality demonstration<\/strong> and that some people within the company have been experimenting with advanced prototypes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That being said, <strong>it doesn&#8217;t seem like the Orion glasses are ready for the general public yet.<\/strong> According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/meta-reveal-first-ar-glasses-fall-connect-conference-2024-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"Business Insider\">Business Insider<\/a>, although the glasses will be showcased at Meta Connect, they won&#8217;t be available to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alex Heath, from The Verge, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2023\/2\/28\/23619730\/meta-vr-oculus-ar-glasses-smartwatch-plans\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"reported last year\">reported last year<\/a> that the company planned an &#8220;internal&#8221; launch of the glasses in 2024, while the public launch was scheduled for 2027. <strong>Before that date, it is more likely that we will see a third generation of Ray-Ban smart glasses in 2025<\/strong>, with a &#8220;neural interface band&#8221; as an input device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Any demonstration would probably be a means of whetting the public&#8217;s appetite for what is to come<\/strong>.
