The social network has changed a lot, for the worse, and those of us who are &#8220;getting gray hair&#8221; are fed up. A lot. The billionaire tweeted on Wednesday announcing that <strong>comment counters, &#8220;likes&#8221;, &#8220;retweets&#8221;, and &#8220;saves&#8221; will disappear from the feeds<\/strong> in a redesign that is currently in development. His reason? Supposedly, he wants the feed to be &#8220;cleaner&#8221; (I guess the constant &#8220;ratios&#8221; that users give him when he posts one of his ideas have nothing to do with it).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1765657501851124200\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">Musk&#8217;s announcement<\/a> in response to another user, to view these metrics <strong>we will have to click on the tweet<\/strong>, as they will be hidden in all Twitter feeds, whether it&#8217;s For you, Following, or the Communities we have joined. In addition, <strong>gesture actions<\/strong> similar to those in messaging apps like <strong>WhatsApp<\/strong> would be added, allowing us to reply to a tweet by swiping right and like it by swiping left.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2024\/03\/Rediseno-Twitter-contadores-interacciones.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-275107\" style=\"width:489px;height:auto\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As many of you may suppose, this announcement <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/kommanderkarl\/status\/1765899796865221011\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" title=\"\">has not been liked by the Twitter community<\/a><\/strong>, being only well received among the cryptobros, bot accounts, digital snake oil salesmen, and the rest of Musk&#8217;s fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By removing these metrics and <strong>leaving only the view counter<\/strong> (another one of his <a href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/articles\/elon-musk-acknowledges-that-this-change-in-twitter-was-a-serious-mistake-and-promises-to-change-it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">infamous changes<\/a>), engagement could drastically decrease due to the psychological factor of interacting with posts that have interactions (the more interactions a post shows, the more likely you are to interact with it).
