After being in beta phase earlier this month, TikTok<\/strong> has officially launched its new monetization initiative for content creators, known as the “Creator Rewards Program”<\/strong>. This new program includes a new dashboard within the app<\/strong> where you can track your performance and payments.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Creator Rewards Program<\/a> is designed for creators to receive compensation for uploading long and high-quality content<\/strong>, and only videos longer than one minute can participate. The more views you get, the higher the program payments will be, although there are some specific requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TikTok<\/a> says that reward payments are based on four key metrics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Originality <\/strong>refers to high-quality content created by the author, which showcases their point of view or their creative thought process in a way that resonates with their community.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The duration<\/strong> of playback takes into account both the viewing time and the completion rate. The new formula rewards accounts with clear and engaging content, instead of favoring accounts with an excessive number of videos.”<\/p>\n\n\n

“Audience engagement<\/strong> includes likes, comments, and shares, all of which contribute to increasing the value of creators’ content within the program.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The search value<\/strong> is a metric assigned to content based on the most popular search terms. Content that matches the most demanded search topics increases its value for search engines.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to participate, content creators on TikTok<\/a> must be at least 18 years old, have 10,000 followers, and have achieved a minimum of 100,000 views<\/strong> on their content in the previous 30 days. The company does not specify if the program is exclusive to the United States or not, so most likely all TikTok creators are eligible.<\/p>\n\n\n
