Square Enix<\/strong> doesn’t stop. After the recent releases of Final Fantasy XVI<\/strong> and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth<\/strong>, all signs point to a new title for the franchise, the highly anticipated remake of Final Fantasy IX<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

During the presentation of PAX East<\/strong>, Naoki Yoshida<\/strong> (director of Final Fantasy XIV) announced the arrival of new content to Final Fantasy XIV, all of them based on Final Fantasy IX. These include the Ark summon<\/strong> as a mount and a rope servant<\/strong> of Princess Garnet. The expansion, called Dawntrail<\/strong>, would be available for the Collector’s Edition and the Digital Collector’s Edition of Final Fantasy XIV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the words that Yoshida used in the presentation<\/a> caused the most stir<\/strong> among the community. According to the Japanese director, the reason behind the direct references to Final Fantasy IX is “a secret<\/strong>“. Are we facing a clue of what is to come?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
