WhatsApp<\/strong> released a new update on Monday that includes a series of new features and fixes, especially on iOS<\/strong>. One of the highlights of the update is the ability to fast forward and rewind a video<\/strong>, which will be very helpful if we want to search for something specific.<\/p>\n\n\n

After being in testing phase since last year, the feature has finally arrived for all WhatsApp users, both on iOS and Android<\/strong>. Although the feature is not reflected in the changelog of Google Play Store<\/a><\/strong>, at Softonic we have been able to verify that it is also available on Android<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the update installed on March 25th, WhatsApp<\/a> should allow you to fast forward\/rewind by double tapping the edge of a video<\/strong>, just like in apps like YouTube<\/strong>. According to WhatsApp, this feature will be available worldwide in the coming weeks, so you don’t have to be patient if you don’t have it yet.<\/p>\n\n\n

Along with this new feature, WhatsApp<\/a> has also included a lot of improvements and bug fixes, as well as the ability to start conversations and interact with Meta AI and AI bots from Mac<\/strong> (exclusive feature of WhatsApp for iOS). These are the other new features that the new WhatsApp update (iOS)<\/a> brings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Now you can see the chat options menu when you hover over the chat list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Improved spacing and “hover” states in Call History and States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Fixed an issue where the cursor would disappear after clicking on an emoji suggestion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Fixed an issue where the text of a quoted message would sometimes extend outside of the message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Fixed an issue where messages would sometimes duplicate when editing the comment of a multimedia file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Fixed an issue that prevented exiting the application when it expired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Fixed an issue where reactions sometimes did not appear in message previews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
