Vice President Kamala Harris announced the new guidelines from the OMB<\/strong> in a briefing with journalists and said that agencies must also establish AI governance councils to coordinate how AI is used within the agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agencies will also have to submit an annual report to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) listing all the AI systems they use<\/strong>, the associated risks, and how they plan to mitigate them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
