HBO Max<\/a> has just announced a new unique format that promises to be the future of streaming: real-time True Crime<\/strong>. What does this mean? The chosen case for this True Crime is none other than the murder of Edwin Arrieta by Daniel Sancho<\/strong>. The son of the famous actor Rodolfo Sancho jumped into the spotlight last summer for having killed and dismembered this Colombian doctor in Thailand. After declaring himself guilty, the trial has been dragging on, gathering more and more information up to the present moment, when a final sentence has not yet been given.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A format that can be standardized in the future<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Titled The Sancho Case<\/strong>, the series will premiere unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 9th and will consist of four episodes. According to Cuarzo Producciones, it will offer “unprecedented access to the development of the investigation”, with an exclusive testimony from Rodolfo Sancho<\/strong> made exclusively for the documentary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“True to our commitment to offer the public a wide and differentiated range of quality content, Max<\/a> presents this new original documentary series that delves into a highly topical issue both in Spain and internationally<\/strong>. The Sancho case will address one of the most media-covered cases of recent times with the utmost journalistic rigor and offering unprecedented access to the people closest to the investigation,” explained Alberto Carullo, VP MAX Local Original Production Iberia and Italy, in a press release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We take on the challenge of tracking one of the most important cases in Spain in recent years due to all the attention it has generated<\/strong>. Our goal is to document the entire process, from when the events became known to the verdict of the sentence, taking into account the tremendous pain that this incident has caused so many people,” adds the series director, Margarita Luis.<\/p>\n\n\n
