The test took place at SpaceX facilities in Boca Chica, Texas, and was conducted without the Starship spacecraft on the booster. The company shared a video showing how the Raptors engines are ignited<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n

Once SpaceX receives the launch permit from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), SpaceX will raise the Starship to its position.<\/strong> When it is fully assembled, the vehicle is known as Starship, and with 17 million pounds of thrust at launch, the rocket is the most powerful ever flown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its first test flight took place in April of last year, but it only lasted a few minutes before an anomaly forced SpaceX engineers to blow up the rocket<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
