On April 11th, Prime Video will premiere one of the most anticipated series in the history of the Amazon platform<\/a>. For that reason, we assume, they have hurried to establish the new advertising policy worldwide today.<\/p>\n\n\n

As you may know, Amazon decided to imitate Netflix’s policy a few months ago, when it announced that advertisements would be coming to its streaming video platform by 2024<\/a>. For those who wanted to avoid them, they would only have<\/em> to pay 1.99 euros per month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This surprised everyone, as Prime Video was until now the best platform in terms of content\/price. Now things are starting to level out with the rest of the companies: Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, Apple TV+, and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many of us were surprised this morning when we turned on the TV and opened the Prime Video app, as we do every day, to see a warning: A change in Prime Video<\/strong>. That change is that now they will show us ads during the movies and series we watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those who want to enjoy an ad-free streaming, the toll is clear: 1.99 euros per month or, in other words, 24 euros per year rounded.<\/strong> It’s true that it’s not much, but it’s already more than what we were paying yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n
