Paramount Pictures has taken advantage of its space at CinemaCon, which has brought us new glimpses of films like Deadpool & Wolverine<\/a>, Nosferatu<\/a> and Joker: Foli\u00e8 a Deux<\/a>, to present its main projects in development. The studio has brought out all its arsenal and has confirmed new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies, Scary Movie and even a collaboration between Kendrick Lamar and the creators of South Park<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

However, the biggest news has been the confirmation of a long-rumored crossover: the one between Transformers and G.I. Joe<\/a><\/strong>. That’s right, the franchise of giant robots will join forces with the one of the heroes that had three movies between 2009 and 2021. Both sagas come from Hasbro toys, so it was only a matter of time before it happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are going to fulfill the promise we made<\/strong>“, confirmed producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura last February, regarding this crossover announced in a scene from the latest Transformers<\/a> movie. “We have been talking about it since the beginning of the franchise because fans were saying: Come on, when are they going to do the G.I. Joe thing? The truth is that there are so many great Transformers characters that we didn’t feel the need to rush and do G.I. Joe. But you also want it to happen in an organic way, otherwise it seems like an exercise in cynicism.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although there is still no confirmed director and the film is in its early stages of development, the executive producers behind it have been announced.
