Patience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Patience<\/strong> is not only what you will need to kill a bloodthirsty (Deathclaw)<\/a> in the early hours of the game, but it is also a precious hunting rifle that offers much more than it seems at first glance<\/strong>. With a three-bullet cartridge, many will think it is a mediocre (although unique) version of the conventional hunting rifle, but its true potential lies in its critical damage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

The damage of Patience is 55, only 3 points more than the regular hunting rifle, but with a critical damage multiplier of x2 and a critical damage of 110<\/strong> (more than double than the conventional hunting rifle), this marvel can surpass the damage of the fearsome anti-materiel rifles<\/strong>. However, with 3 bullets in the magazine and an iron sight, arm yourself with patience and make every shot count. You can buy it from the Smugglers<\/strong>, at the gates of New Vegas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

In my experience exploring the Mojave, I tend to use long-range weapons, but when an enemy gets too close and I don’t have time to aim or even reload, I usually have my beloved “Wow!”<\/strong> (yes, that’s its real name) close at hand. This peculiar melee weapon is a unique version of the super sledge<\/strong>, a kind of much more powerful axe that really packs a punch against the toughest creatures <\/em>of the Mojave (yes, I’m looking at you, Cazadores).<\/p>\n\n\n

Just like with Patience, “Wow!” may seem like a slightly better version of regular super sledges, with 10 more points of damage, but its potential lies in an incredible special attack that can only be used in V.A.T.S.<\/strong> in exchange for using 8 more action points and dealing +50% of the base damage<\/strong>. Additionally, this attack has the ability to knock enemies to the ground<\/strong>, giving you the opportunity to attack them without resistance. You can find it in the Charleston cave<\/strong>, north of Jacobstown<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Holorifle<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

By far, my favorite weapon in Fallout: New Vegas and one of the top contenders for the best weapon in the game. Finding the holorifle is not an easy task: you’ll have to head to the Abandoned Brotherhood of Steel Bunker<\/strong> located southeast of the Forlorn Hope camp<\/strong> and start the Dead Money<\/strong> DLC there, after which you won’t be able to return to the Mojave until you’ve completed all its missions<\/strong> (and believe me, it’s not exactly easy).<\/p>\n\n\n

Once you obtain the Holorifle at the beginning of the DLC, its characteristics are already decent, but its potential is unlocked by obtaining its attachments<\/strong>, located in different areas of the Sierra Madre casino and its surroundings. This peculiar energy weapon uses only one microfusion cell per shot<\/strong> (something rare in energy weapons), dealing 80 damage, 80 critical damage, and an additional 13 damage every 3 seconds<\/strong>. I’m telling you: it’s hard to get, but it’s definitely worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n
