Although the official Bluesky website still mentions him as a member, Dorsey confirmed his departure with a simple “no”<\/a><\/strong> when the user asked him if he was still part of the Bluesky board. The social network issued a statement<\/a> thanking Dorsey for his contribution to the project and announcing the search for a new member for its board of directors<\/strong>, although no further details were provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bluesky<\/a>, which was born in 2019 as an internal project led by Dorsey at Twitter<\/strong>, has become an independent company under the leadership of Jay Graber<\/strong> as CEO. The company has invested in the development of an open protocol for decentralized social networks<\/strong> and its own social platform.<\/p>\n\n\n

Although Bluesky has not yet updated the information on its website to reflect Dorsey’s departure from its board of directors, the project continues to expand as an alternative to centralized social networks, such as Twitter or Instagram<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n
